GI.biz Awards 2022

Humbled and Honored at GI.biz Awards 2022

Thank you to GI.biz for recognizing the hard work, passion and diversity of our team

Here at Bad Robot Games, winning awards is incredibly appreciated and maybe even a little awkward *blushes*. From day one, we set out to build a game studio that leaves the industry better than we found it. Our work isn't done, but we're grateful to be recognized for the steps we've made.

We’re also very conscious of how many other great studios, and people, are working hard on this, too. We’re all in this together.

So with that in mind, we gratefully accept the following awards from this year’s GamesIndustry.biz Awards.

Best Places to Work (US)

We’re honored to receive this award alongside such an amazing group of our peers. To be recognized for the environment our team has strived to create, and that our leadership has empowered through every aspect of our studio operation, is incredibly satisfying. We’re committed to creating a better workplace for all and it was great to see some validation that we’re on the right track.

The Diversity Award

Diversity is foundational to our company ethos, not only in our team-building but also within the rich, inclusive storylines driving our games and worldbuilding. We still have a long way to go, internally and as an industry. But the fact that this award exists offers hope that we’re pointed in the right direction.

Best Boss (US)

We also had the privilege of celebrating our wonderful leader, Anna Sweet. Two years ago, Anna set out to create a different kind of games studio that focused on inclusivity and diversity at all levels. Her goal was to foster a culture that allowed people to feel empowered to do their best creative work. Lofty goals perhaps, but we’ve already seen them take root to great effect — from a fully remote workforce, to four day work weeks and an internal growth coach. With Anna at the helm, we will continue creating great games in which all players can see themselves, at a great studio that welcomes a diversity of perspectives and lived experiences.

Speaking of which, we’re hiring! If the above sounds like your jam, please check out our careers page here.

Congratulations to all the GamesIndustry.biz Award winners!
